Enrollment Specialist

Job Summary: The Enrollment Specialist assists patients who self identify as uninsured or self pay to explore insurance options to determine eligibility. The Specialist will aid uninsured patients of all ages who enter PinnacleHealth Emergency Department(s), outpatient facilities, or community based- settings to access the appropriate services within the healthcare delivery system and enroll in appropriate health insurance.

Job Requirements: At least two-year college degree in healthcare related field and /or 5 year comparable combination of education and pertinent experience. Knowledge of healthcare reform and medical assistance application process. Interpersonal skills necessary to interact with medical professionals, technical professionals, administrative and support staff. Professional writing skills and statistical reporting necessary to develop reports and tracking of clients, referrals, and other operational processes. Competent computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel. Bilingual preferred. Possesses established network of community resources/partners preferred. Ability to attain federal Certified Application Counselor (CAC) certification and maintain certification.
