Volunteer Resources Coordinator 2
The PA Department of Military and Veteran Affairs is currently recruiting to fill one vacancy for Volunteer Resources Coordinator 2 at the Southeastern Veterans Center in Chester County.
Applications will be accepted from February 27 through March 10, 2017.
This position is responsible for overseeing and controlling volunteer services and donations at a Veterans long term care facility. An employee in this positon plans, coordinates, and ensures effective operations of volunteer services. Duties include recruiting, interviewing, and selecting volunteers; providing orientation, scheduling, and evaluating volunteers; developing and maintaining a program of continuous recognition for volunteers and sponsoring organizations. Additional duties include conveying to department heads and staff the concept and potential for use of volunteers and communicating with and act as liaison for service organizations, civic groups, and community leaders regarding the needs of the facility relative to volunteer personnel through speaking engagements, meetings, written, and verbal communication.
In order to be considered, applicants must be PA residents, meet one of the following minimum requirements, and pass the Civil Service Exam for Volunteer Resource Coordinator 2.
- One year of experience as a Volunteer Resources Coordinator 1 (Commonwealth title); or
- One year of professional experience in a human services program or in volunteer resources administration, which included six months program planning and evaluation; public relations; recruitment, selection and placement of volunteers; or the coordination of the training and staff development programs; and a bachelor's degree; or
- an equivalent combination of professional experience and training in a human services program or in volunteer resources administration, which included six months in program planning and evaluation; public relations; recruitment, selection and placement of volunteers; or the coordination of training and staff development programs.
Starting pay: $46,944 annually, with excellent benefits!
