PARTICIPANTS WILL LEARN: 

• WHAT IS A MENTAL HEALTH ADVANCE DIRECTIVE (MHAD)?
• WHAT TYPES OF DIRECTIVES ARE THERE?
• WHAT INFORMATION GOES IN AN MHAD?
• WHAT MAKES AN MHAD VALID?
• WHO SHOULD MHADs BE GIVEN TO?
• DO HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS HAVE TO FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS?

This course is appropriate for anyone wanting an overview of MHADs including but not limited to persons in recovery, peers, MH professionals, community partners, case managers, hospital employees, provider agencies, etc.

The cost for this 3-hour training is $40 per participant. Certificates reflecting (3) hours of training will be provided via email.  Electronic training materials will be provided with the Zoom link the day before the training.
